The general objective of the project is to facilitate the commercial upgrading of small agri-based enterprises particularly their capabilities to meet food safety and quality standards with the Ferias as the market-based platforms for change and innovation. The project hopes to improve profitability of the Ferias and its participants through improved efficiency, productivity, compliance to market requirements, and customer orientation.
The consultancy aims to facilitate the transfer, exchange, and merger of best practices between Costa Rica – Latin America and Philippines – Asia, which would contribute to learning in the field of business development services and in the promotion of food safety and quality in domestic markets.
